My Story

Hi, my name is Isabel!

Thank you for stopping by. I’m a freelance writer living in Whittier, California, who helps forgotten classics, new novels, and overlooked narratives get recognized by fellow story-seekers.

That being said, I treat my book collection like newborn babies, so I probably won’t let anyone borrow a book anytime soon, but I promise to gush over my current read with you.

I earned my BA in English with an emphasis in creative writing from Whittier College, where I further developed my passion for writing, researching, and analyzing literature.

Since then, I’ve worked as a Content Writing Intern for the multimedia content company and global eBook publisher Open Road Integrated Media. Upon the internship’s completion, I have continued to contribute articles to OR/M’s six verticals:

Early Bird Books, The Lineup, The Portalist, Murder & Mayhem, A Love So True, and The Archive

Whether it’s convincing you why a particular book is worthwhile or why you should spend a cozy weekend at home watching a certain movie or TV show, I truly love being able to express my respect for storytelling in all its various forms.

I look forward to continuing to write about topics I’m passionate about while supporting diverse writers’ work!
